ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS PENGELOLAAN MODAL KERJA DALAM RANGKA MENINGKATKAN PROFITABILITAS (Studi Kasus Pada Koperasi Wanita Serba Usaha “Setia Budi Wanita†Jawa Timur Periode 2012-2014)

Abstract

Working capital is the main factor driving the company’s operations which serve to finance the working capital needs of the everyday operations of the cooperative. Determinination of working capital that will effectively generate optimal profit. Management of working capital less precise impact on the profitability of the cooperative resulting in losses for the cooperative. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of working  capital management in order to improve the profitability of Koperasi Wanita Serba Usaha “Setia Budi Wanita†East Java during the past three years. This type of research is descriptive research with case study approach. The results showed owned cooperative in the past three years increased working capital, which is visible from statement of changes in working capital and sources and uses of working capital. Calculations on the liquidity ratio shows the Net Working Capital, Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Cash Ratio fluctuating. Calculations on the activity ratio also experienced fluctuating, but the turnover ratio shows receivable turnover is still very low. Based on projections calculations have been carried out showed that overall the company`s financial rations have increased either.

ABSTRAK

Modal kerja merupakan faktor utama penggerak operasional perusahaan dimana modal kerja berfungsi untuk membayai kebutuhan sehari-hari operasional koperasi.  Penetapan modal kerja yang efektif akan menghasilkan  laba yang optimal. Pengelolaan modal kerja yang kurang tepat akan berdampak pada profitabilitas koperasi yang mengakibatkan kerugian bagi koperasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengelolaan modal kerja dalam rangka meningkatkan profitabilitas Koperasi Wanita Serba Usaha “Setia Budi Wanita†Jawa Timur selama tiga tahun terakhir. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koperasi dalam tiga tahun terakhir mengalami kenaikan modal kerja, yang mana terlihat dari laporan perubahan modal kerja dan laporan sumber dan penggunaan modal kerja. Perhitungan pada rasio profitabilitas menunjukkan penurunan selama tiga tahun berturut-turut. Perhitungan pada rasio likuiditas menunjukkan Net Working Capital, Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Cash Ratio mengalami fluktuatif. Perhitungan pada rasio aktivitas juga mengalami fluktuatif, akan tetapi  pada rasio perputaran piutang menunjukkan perputaran piutangnya masih sangat rendah. Berdasarkan proyeksi perhitungan yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa rasio keuangan perusahaan secara keseluruhan mengalami peningkatan yang baik.
