PENGARUH CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX, INFLASI, NILAI TUKAR DAN SUKU BUNGA TERHADAP FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (Studi Pada Negara ASEAN periode 2012-2017)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Corruption Perception Index, Inflation, Exchange Rates and Interest Rates on Foreign Direct Investment in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar simultaneously and partially. The type of research used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. This research uses secondary data in the form of a combination of cross-sectional data and time series (panel data), where the authors limit the time of research from 2012 to 2017. The analytical method used is panel data regression with a common effect model. The results showed that simultaneously the variables Corruption Perception Index, Inflation, Exchange Rate and Interest Rate had a significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment. The Corruption Perception Index variable partially has a significant effect and has a positive relationship with Foreign Direct Investment. Inflation variable partially has no significant effect and has a positive relationship with Foreign Direct Investment. The Exchange Rate variable partially has a significant effect and has a positive relationship with Foreign Direct Investment. The interest rate variable partially has no significant effect and has a negative relationship with Foreign Direct Investment.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Corruption Perception Index, Inflasi, Nilai Tukar dan Suku Bunga Terhadap Foreign Direct Investment di negara Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Filipina, Vietnam serta Myanmar secara simultan dan parsial. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa gabungan dari data crosssection dan time series (data panel), di mana penulis membatasi waktu penelitian dari tahun 2012 – 2017. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan model common effect. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel Corruption Perception Index, Inflasi, Nilai Tukar dan Suku Bunga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Foreign Direct Investment. Variabel Corruption Perception Index secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan dan memiliki hubungan positif terhadap Foreign Direct Investment. Variabel Inflasi secara parsial berpengaruh tidak signifikan dan memiliki hubungan positif terhadap Foreign Direct Investment. Variabel Nilai Tukar secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan dan memiliki hubungan positif dengan Foreign Direct Investment. Variabel Suku Bunga secara parsial berpengaruh tidak signifikan dan memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap Foreign Direct Investment.
