ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI RESERVASI TRANSPORTASI (Studi kasus pada Perusahaan Jasa Tour & Travel VIP Enterprise Malang)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi reservasi transportasi pada perusahaan Jasa Tour & Travel VIP Enterprise Malang. Pengembangan sistem informasi reservasi transportasi tersebut untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif serta metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode pendeskripsian karena penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penerapan sistem informasi reservasi yang menjadi kegiatan bisnis perusahaan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara terhadap pemilik dan staf perusahaan. Data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen-dokumen dan literatur-literatur secara online. Penelitian ini menggunakan system development life cycle (SDLC) berupa pengembangan berfase (phase development). Berdasarkan hasil analisis terdapat kelemahan dalam sistem informasi reservasi yang telah ada. Kelemahan tersebut adalah input data tidak dapat masuk ke dalam satu kategori pesanan atau reservasi sehingga data terkumpul menjadi satu, output data berupa form reservasi yang telah divalidasi tidak tampak. Jadi diperlukan pengembangan sistem informasi reservasi transportasi dengan membuat suatu prototype yang dapat menangani masalah tersebut. Jika data reservasi dipilah-pilah, maka akan memudahkan dalam pengembangan sistem informasi reservasi transportasi. Jika sistem informasi reservasi transportasi secara online melalui internet, maka akan meningkatkan efisiensi waktu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop information systems on firm transportation reservation services VIP Tour & Travel Enterprise Malang. Transportation reservation information system development is also to improve the performance of company to be more effective and efficient. Types of research used in this study is qualitative as well as research methods were used description of the method for this study is motivated by the application of the reservation information system into the company's business activities. Sources of data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained from interviews with the owners and staff of the company. Secondary data obtained from the documents and literature online. This study uses the system development life cycle (SDLC) a phased development (development phase). Based on the analysis contained in the information system weaknesses existing reservation. The drawback is the input data can not fit into one category or reservation orders so that the data collected into one, the output data is a reservation form that has been validated is not visible. So it is necessary transportation reservation information systems development by creating a prototype that can handle such problems. If data is disaggregated reservation, it will facilitate the development of information systems transportation reservation. If the information systems of transportation reservation online through the internet, it will increase the efficiency of time.
