PENGARUH PROMOSI JABATAN TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA DAN PRESTASI KERJA (Studi Pada Karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang)

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to explain the effect of the employees job promotion on the employees work motivation at PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang, to explain the effect of the employees  job promotion on the employees work performance at PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang, and to explain the effect of the employees work motivation on the employees work performance at PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang. This research was an explanatory research using quantitative approach. The number of samples in this research were 55 respondents that consisted of PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang employees who have ever been promoted. The researcher used probability sampling technique: proportionate random sampling. Meanwhile, the data collection methods used in this research were questionnaire and documentation. The method of data analysis were descriptive statistic analysis and path analysis. This research indicated that the employees job promotion had a significant effect on the employees work motivation. The employees job promotion had a significant effect on the employees work performance. The employees work motivation had a significant effect on the employees work performance. Keywords: Employees Job Promotion, Employees Work Motivation, and Employees Work Performance ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan pengaruh promosi jabatan karyawan terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang, menjelaskan pengaruh promosi jabatan karyawan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang, dan menjelaskan pengaruh motivasi kerja karyawan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian penjelasan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 55 responden yaitu karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jatim Selatan Malang yang pernah mendapat promosi jabatan. Peneliti menggunakan teknik probability sampling yaitu proportionate random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa promosi jabatan karyawan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan. Promosi jabatan karyawan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan. Motivasi kerja karyawan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan.
